I'm investigating a 744 which has a Palmer stamp, but a really reduced serial # (44S000XXX). Looking at the Serial Variety Database, it shows it may be 1989 or so manufacture day depending on the serial, but I believed they did not change their name to dan wesson 1911 Wesson Firearms until eventually 1991 (As outlined by Wikipedia)?

Seems like all the data is roofed. I'd LBT create a mould for my 375. It is undoubtedly a reloader's cartridge. I've had excellent luck with reducing the 375 WIN MAG brass down. Somewhere I posted a tips on how to thread on it.
